This is the plain version. It says what we collect, who handles it, and how to get rid of it. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and a person answers.
Who is responsible
Bright Day Apps operates Home Reset and this website. Contact for anything about your data: [email protected].
The early-access list
What we collect when you sign up:
- Your email address.
- The optional answer to "What made you sign up?", if you tap one.
- How you got here: the clip or link you came from and the referring site, so we know which video brought you.
- The time you signed up, and whether you confirmed your address.
What we do with it: send you one confirmation email, then occasional progress updates and your invitation when the app is ready to try. Nothing else. No selling, no sharing for advertising.
Leaving the list: every email has an unsubscribe link, and replying "delete" to any of them removes your record entirely. Either works.
The app
Home Reset is in development. This section describes how the app works today, so there are no surprises when you try it.
Your room photo. When you photograph a room, the photo is sent through our server to Google's Gemini service, which returns a short list of what it can see: "dishes on the counter by the sink", that kind of thing.
We keep your photos, and here is exactly how. If you sign in and save a room, the photo you started with — and the photo you take at the end, if you take one — are kept so you can see the before and after, and look back at how a room has changed. They are stored privately. Nobody else can open them, and they are not reachable by guessing a link.
They do not pile up forever. We keep the last 10 resets for each room, and nothing older than 12 months. Beyond that, older photos are deleted automatically. The most recent reset for a room is always kept. The app tells you this in Settings too, so it is never a surprise.
You can delete them whenever you want. Settings has Delete all photos, which removes every image and keeps your rooms and history, and Delete everything, which removes your account and all of it. Both delete the actual files. Nothing is hidden or kept back.
What else is kept. The plain-language list of what was seen, the plan the app built, and which tasks you completed or skipped. That is what lets you reset the room again later without a new photo. If you try the app without signing in, nothing is kept at all — no photo, no plan, no history.
Signing in. The app uses your email address and a one-time code. No password is stored.
Deleting. You can delete a saved room, or your whole account with everything in it, from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and done by you, not by a support request.
What the app does not do. No advertising trackers. No analytics in the first version. No notifications in the first version. No sharing of your photos or data with anyone except the providers below, and only for the purpose stated.
Who handles the data for us
We use a small number of providers to run the service. Each only receives what it needs for its job.
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini) | Reads the room photo | The photo, for that one analysis. Google is not sent your saved photos or history. |
| Supabase | Database, sign-in and photo storage | Email, sign-in codes, saved rooms, reset history and your room photos |
| Cloudflare | Hosts this site and our server | Requests passing through, including your email when you sign up |
| Resend | Sends our email | Your email address and the messages we send you |
Each provider's own privacy policy also applies to its part: Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, Resend.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. For the list, reply to any email. For the app, use the delete controls inside it, or email us. We answer from a real inbox, not an automated one.
Children
Home Reset is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think that has happened, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and people on the list are told by email. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
